JAUNT got its start providing transportation for
human service agencies in 1975 and continues to
be the provider choice for agencies in Central Virginia.
Agencies can make arrangements to have individuals
and/or groups of their clients transported.
In FY07, JAUNT provided over 55,000 trips for agency-sponsored
passengers traveling to medical appointments, supported
employment, nutrition programs, and many other beneficial
activities. Agencies pay an hourly fee for this
service. |

| Driver
Training |

As part of our efforts to make transportation affordable
for human services agencies JAUNT provides training
to approved agency drivers who would like to use
our vehicles to transport clients.
Classes in defensive driving and passenger assistance
and sensitivity can be arranged by calling JAUNT's
Safety and Training Manager at 296-3184 or email
safety@ridejaunt.org.
