JAUNT is an important part of the region's traffic reduction effort. We provide regular commuter services, to area residents working in the City of Charlottesville who live in the outlying counties. Residents in Amherst and Nelson counties can travel to work at Wintergreen. Most of the routes can be accessed at Park and Ride lots throughout our service area.

Because leaving your car at home - even just a couple days a week - is so beneficial, we partner with RIDESHARE to make it even easier by paying for your transportation if the unexpected happens while you're at work. It's called the Guaranteed Ride Home Program. Click here to register!

Albemarle - Fixed-route services are also offered from several communities in Albemarle County including Crozet, Scottsville and North Garden.

Charlottesville to Nelson- This route starts at Barracks Road Shopping Center (CVS bus stop) at 7:45 am, Wednesday through Sunday and arriving in Wintergreen at 9 am. The return trip beings at 5:15 pm and arrives back in Charlottesville at 6:30 pm. The cost is $3.00 each way.

Louisa -The commuter routes originates at the Express Mart in Mineral at 5:55 am. The stops include: The Louisa Food Lion lower parking lot, K & B Market, Zion's Crossroads Park and Ride Lot.

Fluvanna - The route starts around 5:50 a.m. and makes several stops along Route 15 and Route 29.

Nelson - Lovingston Express Route, Roseland Route, Wintergreen Employment Route are commuter routes offered in Nelson County.

Buckingham -The Monday through Friday route will get commuters to Charlottesville by 7:55 AM and begin the return trip at 5 PM.  The fare is $2.50 each way or 10 tickets for $20 ($2.00 each way).  The second commuter is seven days a week and the bus originates at Duck's Corner Store at 5:25 AM and passes through Scottsville. Passengers are transported only to Downtown Charlottesville (5th and Market Parking Garage), UVA, and Martha Jefferson Return pick-ups begin at 3:45 to 4:15 pm.
