JAUNT Friends plans to raise funds through a
broad spectrum of methods, including:
• Donations from the general public
• Donations from the Board of Directors of JAUNT
Friends
• Donations from businesses whose employees use
JAUNT to get to work
• Donations from JAUNT passengers
• Bequests from passengers or their grateful families
• Donations from transportation vendors
• Foundation Grants
• Participating in the Commonwealth of Virginia’s
Combined Virginia Campaign for state employees.
JAUNT Friends will be eligible to apply to be a
recipient for these funds in 2010.
• Participating in the Combined Federal Campaign
for federal employees.
JAUNT Friends disburses funds to support a wide
variety of activities that promote mobility throughout
Central Virginia, including:
• Complimentary tickets to allow people with limited
resources to access public transportation services.
• Unfunded public transportation needs.
• Activities to encourage public transportation
drivers to continue with their careers.
• Capital acquisition, particularly for vehicles.
