Transit Development Plan (TDP)

The Transit Development Plan (TDP) for JAUNT, Inc. is intended to guide the organization’s development over the five-year period covering fiscal years 2012 through 2017. JAUNT established nine objectives for the plan:

• Provide a widely accessible and coordinated transportation system that reflects and meets the diverse needs of the JAUNT service area
• Promote safety and security in maintaining and operating the JAUNT system within the service area
• Provide attractive and dependable transit service within the JAUNT service area
• Develop and maintain an ongoing performance monitoring program
• Continue to engage the community, expand customer outreach, and market the system
• Recruit and retain a qualified workforce
• Provide affordable public transit service through funding by grants and contributions from local, state and federal funding entities and public/private partnerships
• Promote and implement practices to improve the regional quality of life through reduced pollution and congestion
• Improve coordination between transportation, land use and economic development activities
