Louisa, Nelson, Fluvanna, Buckingham, and rural Albemarle Counties

If you live in one of these counties and your school system is closed due to weather conditions, all JAUNT services will be cancelled on the first day of the weather emergency. In the event that schools continue to stay closed and staff believe it is safe to travel throughout the County, we will resume services on the second day to passengers whose roadways, sidewalks and entryways have been cleared.

Charlottesville and Urban Albemarle County

In the event that city schools are closed all trips will be cancelled in the urban area. Special assistance will be attempted for passengers with planned life-saving medical treatments such as Dialysis if we feel we can safely complete the trip.

Transportation may be rescheduled if you:

• Contact your destination and confirm that it is open for business
• Check and make sure the roadway is safe to travel on and your pathway to the bus is clear of debris of snow or ice
• You must be a fare-paying passenger
• Call JAUNT to reschedule your trip

JAUNT’S first priority during inclement weather is SAFETY. We strive to keep all our passengers and staff SAFE during all weather emergencies. Announcements regarding JAUNT services are made on TV station Channel 29 and radio stations WCHV and WINA
